Guided by our knowledge of child development, Grade 3 is a special transitional year that blends the warmth and wonder of the early grades with growing independence and intellectual curiosity.
Students continue to delight in read-alouds and hands-on discovery while also building confidence through deeper discussions, collaborative projects, and more complex academic challenges.

Connections
With small class sizes and individualized support—especially in reading—teachers nurture each child’s unique learning journey. As students engage with multi-step math problems, chapter books, and rich nonfiction texts, they strengthen the skills and independence needed to manage their own learning. Along the way, they learn to work thoughtfully with peers, share ideas with confidence, and make meaningful connections between the world close to home and the wider world around them.
