Summer Camp at Milton Academy (SCMA) is a place where curiosity runs free and every day brings something new to explore.

Open to students entering Grades 1-8. There are also opportunities for students entering grades 8-9 to serve as counselors in training, our camp offers a welcoming, fun environment where kids can try new things, build friendships, and create memories of unforgettable summer days. Summer Camp registration opens in December.

All-in-One Summer Camp: Something for Everyone (Grades 1-8)

SCMA’s Day Camp is our classic “all-in-one” summer camp that offers a multitude of fun experiences; from art and games, to coding and swimming, there is something for every child.

Four smiling children in blue gloves are gathered around a table with tie-dye supplies in the foreground, while a park with trees and playground equipment is visible in the background.

Small Program, endless opportunities

Our program is small by design and allows campers various options to co-create their camp experience, choosing electives that align with their own interests.

Two children are building a colorful Lego creation on a wooden table, with more Lego pieces visible in a plastic bin in the background.

Learn with Experts

In addition to our counselors, teachers who are expert in the fields of technology, gardening and sustainability, and maker education, share their experiences and knowledge.

Three young boys run across a grassy field in front of a green building and a tree with white blossoms.

Outstanding Facilities

All programming takes place on Milton Academy’s campus, including our swimming pool, gardens, athletic facilities, and fields.

Speciality Camps (Grades 4-8)

Our SMCA Specialty Camps are led by Milton Academy faculty, staff, and coaches. Campers have the opportunity to learn new skills and explore certain interests more deeply, including fine arts, sports and STEM offerings.

All specialty camps run from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Campers may be picked up promptly at 12:00 p.m. or join the Day Camp from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. for lunch, swimming, and elective activities.

Counselor In Training (CIT) Program

CIT sessions are open to campers entering grades 8 and 9 who are interested in taking the next step as leaders. This program will incorporate learning leadership skills, working with camper groups, and bonding opportunities as a group. Students interested in participating in the CIT Program should indicate their interest as part of the registration process. Once the registration process is complete, the prospective CIT will be contacted by our CIT Leader in late spring to discuss next steps and prepare for their weeks at camp.
