Welcome to Milton Academy’s Office of Lower and Middle School Admission!

I am so pleased that you’ve included Milton in your search for the right school for your child. At Milton Academy, we combine an inspiring and challenging curriculum with robust co-curricular programs and a strong emphasis on building a life-long love of learning.

In our Lower School, students from Kindergarten through Grade 5 learn in purposely-small classes where they are nurtured and challenged. Our talented faculty lead children through research-supported curriculum and explore emergent curriculum in fun, energetic settings. Specials classes in art, music, gardening, woodworking, and design spark students’ creative interests and connect to their academic work through exciting, interdisciplinary projects.

To begin the application process, please complete our inquiry form. I look forward to sharing more about our Lower and Middle School programs with you, and getting to know your family throughout the admission process.

Sincerely,

Katie Novak
Director of Lower and Middle School Admission

So, Why Milton?

During the nine-year span from Kindergarten through Grade 8, children deserve a purposeful, vigorous and joyful academic and co-curricular program. Milton Academy is structured to provide the most effective and progressive support for children over these elementary years. Children experience profound growth during this time. They gain intellectual and creative depth and range. Social aptitudes emerge along with new understandings. Each child develops confidence in his or her character and identity. We are attuned to the vastly different and intensely important developmental phases they experience. We are purposeful, over time, in tending to how each child experiences self-realization, skill development and social coherence.

  • Being smart and interested in school is fun and cool.
  • Life here is collaborative, not competitive.
  • Learning is celebrated. At Milton, curiosity, intellectual engagement, and academic achievement are valued and encouraged.
  • Exceptional teachers. Our faculty are experts in their fields and passionate about working with elementary school and adolescent students.
